Additional Information

This image is based on a series of photos I took of my son standing in Lake Illawarra after a failed mid winter fishing trip. Both fishermen were clueless, so my son ended up in the water as the sun set behind him over the Illawarra escarpment. I have created several artworks based on this day.

This collage features paint, cut and torn magazines, maps, brochures, recycled then assembled to create this piece. The layered collaged elements create a textured surface that would be impossible to create with just paint.

This piece is on stretched canvas and 2 coats of high gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss finish really makes the colours pop and gives the work a glassy finish. It has a wire at the back with painted edges so it is ready for your walls.

Thanks for checking it out. Cheers Darren King
