A Love Story by Eileen Rigby – This still-life is one of many that I have set up in the studio. I begin by buying an armful of flowers and spend the morning arranging them in a variety of vases until I settle on one that gives me the most pleasure. I set up lights or take the arrangement outdoors into the bright sunlight. I love the effect of light on any subject. The cast shadows and lit areas add that special touch that I love. I act quickly from life and continue with a photograph when the flowers start to wilt. This original still-life comes with a certificate of authenticity.
