A large bunch of beautiful Proteas. These ones I found at St Andrews Market one weekend so are not a local variety. I am quite fascinated by the different shapes, types and colours in this genus of plant and the sculptural qualities they challenge me with. Commonly thought to be native to Australia, they are in fact native to South Africa however like famous kiwi actors we are happy to claim as our own…
