Life in the outdoors always brings a kind of happiness that money can’t buy – I think of nature as a living joy and I breathe it in every day. The past couple of years, with all the personal and global traumas, has helped us to value the truly important things in life. We have looked at the sky and at all that the outdoors has to offer and we have been glad of it. These are the influences when it comes to the subjects in my paintings and the serendipitous nature of watercolour and mixed media lend to that sense of freedom. Flowers from the garden bring inspiration on a daily basis. Watercolour with freedom brings a certain kind of feeling that is quite delicate and somehow liberating. Work on paper requires framing.
