This is another version of my Beach Reeds using a thicker soften golden beige for the reeds and a different texture for the water. This version is in a portrait format. These are my favourite colours for my own home. Even though I live in the hills I love to create a beach house feel inside as we love spending our holidays at the beach. Also originally Inspired by my weekend at my friends beach house at Carrickalinga, Fleurieu Peninsula SA. We walked on the beach and I said to them I see a painting so when I returned home I created an abstract take on what I saw. I have taken the photo in the sun to catch its textures. This painting represents the sky, ocean and the reeds.
