Measuring 30.5cm (W) x 30.5cm (H) x 3.5cm (D) (unframed), this is an original oil painting on stretched canvas featuring a vase of Leucadendrons and Penny Gum leaves.

My current works in oils are exploring my interest in Vintage and Antique fabrics sourced from my extensive range I have collected over many years.

Before moving to painting full time, I worked as an Antique dealer / Vintage merchant supplying beautiful items for interior design. As a result I have quite the collection of special pieces and am enjoying mixing their unique qualities as subject matter into my artwork.

Part of my Vintage Decor and Fabric series, this work presents some Leucadendrons and Penny Gum leaves I found during a coffee stop at Kilgour Street Geelong.

In the background is a favourite 1970’s barkcloth fabric piece of which I have made a shoulder bag and other delights from. Only a little of the cut fabric remains I wish had more however what I found at a garage sale is all there is…
