Coastal Golden Arches by Miranda Lloyd

This is something very different to my usual nature art. This style is more geometric. I have a thing for metallic golds and have been painting a lot with metallic golds and goes so well with this palette of blues, turquoise, pinks and greens. This also reminds me of so many things, stain glass windows of a cathedral, buildings in the Greek Islands and the ocean. I feel a series coming from this one. The gold and colours have a white wash which brings out the textures of the painting. The turquoise is richer in colour than this photo and looks much better in real life as this one was very hard to photograph as the golds reflect differently depending on the lighting. Painted around the edges ready to hang.
