Disgruntled Goat by Darren King

Pop culture goodness made from paper collaged pieces, adhesive and paint.

Inspired by The Simpsons and a rare character, called Disgruntled Goat. He appeared in a couple of episodes. This piece is based on him as a plush toy in Series 6, Episode 4. Itchy and Scratchy Land. A time when The Simpsons was clever and entertaining.

The Goat is all made from paper elements and adhesive. The background is predominantly paint with a few clippings, partially covered.

The paper elements have been cut or torn from a Simpsons comic, and old damaged Simpsons board game, vintage mags, packaging, books, brochures and junk mail. Random text, images and oddities pop up throughout the work, including show characters + tv show references.

2 coats of high gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss finish really makes the colours pop and gives the work a glassy finish. The edges are decorated so it is ready for your wall or you may wish to add a frame through Art Lovers during purchase.
