Egret Dreaming is a medium sized work in portrait format, painted in acrylic on deep sided stretched cotton duck. The painting features multiple white egrets standing in water in differing poses. This work is unframed, with raw, clean canvas sides, but is ready to hang on deep sided canvas.The colours feature warm blues, turquoises and olives with the white of the egrets and yellow highlights. The painting style is textured with free brush strokes.

The inspiration for this painting came from my love of Australian native fauna, particularly our native birds. Painting our native birds is my way of supporting biodiversity and encouraging an appreciation of our natural environment and our native birds. I love the painting the environment, particularly the central west of NSW where I live. Forbes wetlands often has egrets visiting and I love to take photographs and then work o the paintings in my studio.
