Flowers – Banksias by Miranda Lloyd – This is my first outline Banksia Flowers painting inspired by living in the Adelaide Hills and loving how all our native Australian Flowers have come in vogue. This painting is also is inspired by lino printing also going back to my roots when I first started painting using more line art style, I did a lot of palms and bamboo back then.The background is textured with a mix of blues, greeny blues, pinks, purple, silver, copper and white. This also goes with my series of Agapanthus, Gum Leaves and Proteas.
