Flowers to Say I Love You by Eileen Rigby – I arrived in the studio with an armful of flowers, sunflowers, tulips and gerberas. An afternoon of setting up a still-life and then set to work with acrylic paint. I wanted a sense of freedom so added many layers of colour followed by splashing contrasting colours over the entire painting. I used a selection of warm colours off-set with a cool backdrop and terracotta foreground. The square canvas suited the larger than life composition. A statement piece, a large original acrylic painting, in soft colours, on a square canvas.
