Glazed Pink by Darren King – Inspired by deliciousness. Pink glazed donuts = good times.

An original paper collage artwork created from cut and torn paper, recycled and repurposed.

The details are made from discarded kids books, brochures, magazines and junk mail. This piece also has a designer element and includes some pink Chanel tissue paper. All bits are torn, cut and reassembled then glued to create this textured one of a kind original artwork.

This piece was created on a primed professional Painting Board which is made from a smooth blonde coloured plywood panel with pine bracing ensuring a strong and warp resistant painting support. 3 coats of high gloss varnish have will be applied to protect the artwork.

The gloss finish really makes the colours pop and gives the work a glassy (glazed) finish. It has a wire at the back with painted edges so it is ready for your walls.

I am currently drawn to the random nature of collage and combining discarded, unused recycled materials. Using unrelated elements and mashing them together to create something entirely new.
