A stunning locally grown King Protea placed in a vintage glass jar sits a top a swathe of 1960’s flower power barkcloth fabric.

A favourite from my extensive vintage fabric collection, I particularly love the design of this against the strong lines of the protea flower head.

Created in glazes and thicker impasto areas of oil paint, this painting is a celebration of local flora with a retro vibe in pinks and purples from the swinging 60’s.
