Part of my gum nut series, exploring the juicy and varied greens found in our Australian native flora

This painting features a tumble of plump gum nuts found on a visit to Queenscliff in Victoria one weekend.

On a walk around the backstreets of this old seafaring town, I walked under a line of eucalyptus trees full of these voluptuous gum nuts. The green blue of the leaves sealed the deal, I had to paint them!

Professionally framed in beautiful Tasmanian Oak.
