Heading Out 2 by Darren King – Mixed Media on canvas, acrylic paint, gouache, screen print and collage on stretched canvas. This artwork is signed on the back.

This piece was created using paint, screen print and collage. Most of the collage elements are taken from one of my multi layered screen print seascape experiments printed around 8 years ago. The print was never released. For this piece I have cut up elements and reassembled them to create this small piece. Recycled magazine clippings and have also been added. Resulting in a small heavily layered, one of a kind piece.

The piece is on stretched wooden frame. It has a wire at the back and is ready to hang. 2 coats of gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork & the gloss finish really brings out all the intricate details in the work.
