Lark – Framed by Darren King

Another in my series of native local birds. The Magpie Lark.

The paper elements have been taken from discarded or damaged books, junk mail, kids books, packaging materials, brochures and vintage magazines. The paper elements combined with some painted areas create a layered textural surface.

3 coats of gloss varnish have been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss finish really makes the colours pop and gives the work a glassy finish.

The artwork has a wire at the back, the edges are decorated, so Lark is ready to hang. Or you can add a frame during purchase through Art Lovers.
