M.M403 by Laura Oczos is an abstract landscape inspired by cartography and aerial photography. This painting is an ‘imagined landscape’ that draws on past and present experiences to create a work that combines multiple viewpoints that captures the spirit of the moment rather than exact places.

This abstract painting is a bold statement piece in purples, turquoise, pinks with pops of yellow and contrasting dark blue/black. This was created by using multiple layers of ink, acrylic washes and glazes and paint. There are also areas of collage in the form of hand dyed paper with a final layer of pattern.
