Inspiration for this piece:

This is an original acrylic painting inspired by my visit to Kings Park in Perth. I was mesmerised by the beauty of Western Australia’s native plants which have inspired a whole series of pieces. This is the gumnut of the Mallee Rose, known locally as Mottlecah.

Materials:

The raw, organic beauty of the flora led me to paint on natural linen. This is a deep edge, high quality canvas 55cm by 45cm. using Artist quality acrylics. It is framed in a dark wooden box frame, wired and ready to hang.
