Pelican Park at Woody Point in Brisbane gave me all the stimulous I needed for this painting. Feeding time at ten o’clock brings the pelicans. Sometimes there are lots and other times none at all and so I found myself paying lots of visits in the effort to collect lots of images to take back to the studio. How amazing that such a big bird can perch so high on top of the tall light pole. This will be just one of a series. Acrylic Paint on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Wright & Co. 12oz Poly Cotton has a very fine weave and an ultra smooth gesso suitable for the highest detail work and all painting purposes.
