Additional Information

This original piece was created using paint, screen print and collage. Collaged elements were added to the black painted female face profile to add texture, colour and depth. There are small areas of silver foil within the piece which pick up the light when viewed from an angle.

Most of the collage elements are taken from my screen printed experiments produced over the years, cut up, layered and reassembled to enhance this piece. The layering creates a texture impossible to obtain with just paint alone. Recycled magazine clippings have also been added. Resulting in a small colourful heavily layered, one of a kind piece.

The piece is on stretched wooden frame. It has a wire at the back and is ready to hang. 2 coats of gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss varnish gives the work a glassy finish and really brings out all the intricate details in the work.

The edges are painted so it is ready for your wall, or you may wish to frame the piece after purchase. Thanks for checking it out. Cheers Darren
