Additional Information

‘Splice’ by Darren King –  is the perfect summer ice cream. This piece is inspired by deliciousness.

Paper collage on canvas. The entire artwork is made from various discarded kids books, brochures, magazines and junk mail. All bits are torn, cut and assembled to create this textured one of a kind original artwork. The piece is on stretched canvas frame. It has a wire at the back and is ready to hang. 2 coats of gloss varnish will be applied to protect the artwork and the gloss finish gives the piece a glassy finish.

I am currently drawn to the random nature of collage and combining discarded, unused recycled materials. Using unrelated elements and mashing them together to create something entirely new. The edges are decorated so it is ready for your wall.

Cheers Darren
