‘Stoked‘ by Darren King is a strange little paper collage original artwork created from cut and torn paper, recycled and repurposed. This is the 4th small skull artwork I’ve created this year.

I am currently drawn to the random nature of collage and combining discarded, unused recycled materials. Using unrelated elements and mashing them together to create something entirely new.

The background elements have been taken from a magazine called ‘History of Ghosts’. The skull and details are made from various books, brochures, magazines and junk mail. The piece is on stretched canvas frame. It has a wire at the back and is ready to hang. 2 coats of gloss varnish will be applied to protect the artwork and the gloss finish gives the piece a glassy finish.

The edges are decorated so it is ready for your wall.
