Summer Arrives Early by Michael Cawdrey – I wanted to depict the heat of the day when the cattle shelter beneath a shady fig tree, and the air is still.

This was a particularly hot and bright day in late Spring.

In this 28×35 cm acrylic painting, I’ve created some heavy texture to enliven the surface and catch highlights.

As always, I’ve used professional artist quality paints and mediums. The painting is rendered on high quality marine ply, 2mm thick, and sealed on the edges and back.

The painting is NOT ready to hang. It will require framing.
