The Beach 8 by Darren King – This piece is primarily made with paper and adhesive rather than paint. The blue sky background has been painted in acrylic paint, the rest of the piece is layered paper collage.

The paper elements have been cut /torn from vintage magazines, packaging materials, books, brochures, tissue paper and junk mail. Small pieces are applied one at a time to create textures, form and shape. Lots of random collaged text and imagery added to create this heavily textured, original piece.

This piece is on stretched canvas and 2 coats of high gloss varnish have also been applied to protect the artwork. The gloss finish really makes the colours pop and gives the work a glassy finish. It has a wire at the back with collaged edges so it is ready for your walls, or you may wish to add a frame directly through Art Lovers during purchase.
