The Chase by Eileen Rigby – Living creatures are always inspirational because they are just themselves. I want to capture the spirit of the animal in my paintings as much as the appearance. I have a series of animals that live in Samford and surrounds, the location where I live. Watercolour gives the freedom of movement that I want when capturing these animals on watercolour paper. I use a variety of techniques including wet in wet, wet on dry along with splashing and flicking plus pen and ink. This is an original watercolour on paper with the image to the edge of the paper with no margin so if matted when framed will be a little smaller than the size indicated. Only Winsor and Newton professional watercolour paints used on 300gsm paper.
