Vintage scrolls and Proteas – An original oil painting created in my Mountain studio in Olinda, Victoria, Australia

A smaller work measuring 20.3cm (W) x 25.4cm (H) x 3.5cm (D) (unframed) , this is an original oil painting on stretched canvas featuring a grouping of proteas and Leucadendron.

My current works in oils are exploring my interest in Vintage and Antique fabrics sourced from my extensive range I have collected over many years.

Before moving to painting full time, I worked as an Antique dealer / Vintage merchant supplying beautiful items for interior design. As a result I have quite the collection of special pieces and am enjoying mixing their unique qualities as subject matter into my artwork.

To the back is my interpretation of a beautifully patterned Art Deco rug along with a Vintage wrought iron scroll which is part of a handrail sourced from a 1960’s house.

This painting is one of a PAIR (available separately) however looks just as well hanging on its own too.

This painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity with a professional wire hanger to the back ready for your wall.
