Waratah Flowers Abstract Textures – This is my first Waratah flowers painting. Inspired by my love of our Australian outback nature. Ive selected to do the soft pink variety as I love the contrast with the moody but electric background. This is an abstract take on the Waratah and exaggerating its form. Very heavy textures applied to the flowers, leaves and background. The gold metallics in the background pic up nicely in the light. Background is a mix of black, electric blues, turquoise, pink, white, greens, silver and gold. Would be a nice feature to a very contemporary space with black and white and indoor plants. The painting looks much better in real life vs a photo as hard to capture the true textures and details.
