This original oil painting depicts the intersection of George and Elizabeth Streets, Brisbane, at day’s end, with the last trace of yellow sunlight in the sky.

I used a limited palette, with subdued mauve greys enhancing the stronger yellows.

As always, I have used professional quality oil paints after thoroughly preparing the painting surface which is timber panel.

The painting can be hung as is, but, being on a shallow-sided timber panel, it would be better framed.
